Black Ops 6 players can’t actually use the skins they’ve paid for

Black Ops 6 players are unable to use some skins that they’ve spent actual money on as they’ve ‘disappeared’ after being bought.

The increased focus on microtransactions and cosmetics over the last few years has annoyed plenty of Call of Duty fans. Each new season has a new battle pass – including the premium Blackcell version – as well as new skins and even weapons.

At times, these microtransactions have been blasted for making certain weapons and characters “pay to win.” There have been rare cases where they are “pay to lose” because they actually put you at a disadvantage.

The increased microtransactions have continued in Black Ops 6. We’ve seen event battle passes for Squid Game and a few “pay to win” add-ons too. Though, there are also a few headaches. 

Black Ops 6 skins are disappearing into thin air

Since March 11, players have flagged that certain skins that they’ve spent their hard-earned money on have been disappearing into thin air.

“Just bought this skin and it doesn’t show up help,” Redditor Honest-Professor-718 said, noting the irony in the fact that their Unseen ghillie skin hasn’t been available to use.

“Why did this operator I purchased disappear?” Speedy0918 also flagged. They noted that, even after contacting support, it was still unavailable. “I don’t know what the problem is cleared the database and nothing worked. Everything else the blueprint and reticle are all usable,” they added.

Some players couldn’t help but poke fun at things. “Your first mistake was buying a skin,” one replied.

Others noted that some of the skins may have launched early, prompting the devs to restrict the use of them. However, some argued that these issues are also affecting The Terminator bundle, and that has been around for a little bit now.

We’ll have to wait and see if the devs address things because no one wants to spend money and have it go to waste.
